I chose to donate condiments to Tabitha's way food pantry. I chose this because I have spent a lot of Fridays there during the summer and met lots of amazing people. All of these are great people who just need a little while to get back on their feet. I asked the owners of the food pantry what they needed the most of. I was told that they needed condiments. This is why i chose to donate condiments.
My understanding of the underprivileged in Utah changed as i worked on this project because I did more than i ever had done before to help these people. I met lots of amazing people who were so willing to donate to help others. While I was working on this project one of the obstacles i faced was picking up the donations. I had a lot of area to cover in a little amount of time. Luckily i had amazing friends and family who were willing to help out to get the job done. We amazingly got it done in under 3 hours. My project relates to the theme make a difference because i helped those in need. By collecting condiments and giving them to the food pantry. This helped people have something that many of us take for granted. We don’t realize how much we use condiments. In every meal you eat you probably use some kind of condiment. It was great to see how much of a difference it made. |
